I’ve used this Hilti laser level for wall tile, floor tile, hanging cabinets, building a level bench on sloping ground and painting a 16 ft diagonal straight line. I calibrated it against a plumb-bob on the vertical and it’s bang on. Best laser level is probably the one made by Hilti and DeWalt. My floors and walls are not perfcctly level or plumb so I needed a fast reference line to measure to. For myself – this gadget is going back where it came from while I look for something else.
The level comes with a nail system that is what makes it stand on the walls. Rotating laser levels are great for lining up electrical outlets throughout a room or installing dropped ceilings. Quality of beam is adequate to poor – you have to decide whether to save the line or split it when marking – line fades near end of projection and in places completely dissappears on wall. Works with all standard Hilti accessories. Laser levels with a magnetic base are great when you need to attach the level to metal surfaces. It worked very well. Hilti laser is almost identical in price and weighs about 2 lbs. It is so functional that two more guys on the crew that used it bought they’re own. The Hilti laser includes the universal mount with a magnetic base and mounting strap. Then I held it up near the ceiling and projected the laser beam along the wall which also showed the beam on both side walls. When I first got this product I tested it out finding studs. After these tests I proceeded to use it for all kinds of things including hanging pictures, installing a kitchen tile backsplash, building cabinets and much more.If you find yourself in front of another brand however and you just don’t want to search for the Hilti, try the Hilti Laser Level.
My daughter needed a basic laser level to do some family picture hanging and this does it fine. This has fell from 8 feet up many times and keeps going. Perfect level all the time. The laser beam itself was pretty strong and bright. This device is a real time saver and quite accurate.
