Many PC owners are eventually faced with such a problem, and quickly become frustrated with their slow running PC, and tire of losing precious data due to their PCs crashing frequently. Most people do not know that the root of this problem is clutter caused by fragments of information left over in the computers registry. The only solution to repairing your computers registry problems is to frequently use registry repair tools to scan and fix errors that may be present.

Every computer has a Windows registry. It is a central database into which all the settings and options for your computer are stored. The registry in your computer is basically the one that puts everything all together for you. Without it, the locations of your files would be lost and your computer may fail to operate altogether. This storage database is constantly changing as you make modifications to various settings, install software, remove or uninstall programs, and change file associations. Every time you run these procedures, there are remnants of programs and extra files left behind. Over time, these accumulate and lead to a corrupt registry that has a lot of worthless data on it. After sometime, this leads to an obvious slow down and ceases to give you the optimum performance you desire.

If you haven’t been using registry repair tools, your computer registry can easily get bloated with information and iterant data. Over time, as you continue to install, uninstall and edit programs, countless entries pile up inside the registry. These are useless and need to be fixed. Utilizing The Appropriate Registry Repair Tools

August 16th, 2009

Computer maintenance is an essential part to having a PC that runs well, and at optimum speed. Have you ever noticed your PC booting up slowly, running sluggishly, freezing, crashing, or even experiencing that dreaded blue screen death because of a critical system error? There is a great chance that your PC is suffering from registry problems. Fixing these problems may be easier than you may think.

Your system registry is one of the most important components in your computer. It holds virtually all the information about your computer setup and configuration. When you uninstall a program or delete a file, the registry keeps track of that deleted file and does not remove it. In essence, an invalid data or error remains in the registry. As the registry swells with these invalid data and errors, your computer will become increasingly sluggish and can cause severe system complications which you typically encounter.

The Windows registry is probably one of the most important parts of your Windows program. It keeps tabs on your hardware, software, and control panel settings and Windows constantly refers to the information stored there to make sure it is running at an optimum level. The registry is an immense database which is packed full of data about the applications and hardware drivers on your computer. Putting it simply, the registry is the filing system for your Windows program. When you make any modifications to your hardware, software or control panel settings, the registry updates itself automatically. But in most instances Windows doesn’t remove the old entries that are left behind. As more of these entries are left in the registry, it becomes turgid and if left unchecked, the registry will operate slower. The slower the registry operates, the slower the PC operates, and in the worst case scenario it can cause your computer to stop functioning.

A registry repair tool or software is the saving grace of both time and money to fix problems related to your PC registry. They work by initially scanning your entire registry system for items that may be corrupt, or redundant information. Nothing is deleted while the scan is in progress, it only gathers information, collate it and give you a report. Once the complete scan is finished, most registry repair tools give you the option to backup your old registry files in case you need to go back to your previous settings. Once the backup is complete, you can then browse through the items the software found in its scan, and choose whether to manually repair errors or leverage the registry tool to do the job for you. Knowing the types of errors to watch for, what causes such errors, and how to use registry repair tools to fix them is valuable information to have. You can recognize when an error may be caused by your systems registry and know how to handle it.

The best registry fix tools in the market will efficiently perform scans and then gather the results into a report. You can then analyze the report and decide for yourself if you want to perform a registry cleanup manually or maximize the tool for this purpose. Scanning and receiving a report is a useful component of your computer’s maintenance because it allows you to decide if there really is a problem with the registry that needs to be fixed.

How Bryan saved me from a slow computer

April 12th, 2009

I have of late been suffering due to a very slow and irritating computer in fact it has annoyed me so much I was bitching about it in a local bar. The man I was moaning to was Bryan a good friend of mine and total computer nerd. I discussed my computer problems with Bryan and asked his help picking a new computer. Bryan thought about what I had said and while fiddling with his ginger beard replied with “You wont need to get a new computer”. I reiterated to Bryan that I really did after all my computer was running very slowly and was annoying me to such an extent that I have genuinely considered destroying it with a house hold implement. In fact I was a little mad with Bryan for not recognizing my pain. Bryan did however go on to explain further and said “I believe you are suffering from Windows registry errors”. Although I am sure what Bryan said would make perfect sense to the average computer geek to me he might as well have been speaking Dutch. Not wanting to seem foolish I carried on as if I understood Bryan and said “Ah I see”. By this time Bryan had obviously noticed from the distant look in my eyes that I really had no idea what he was talking about. He took out a pen and paper and scribbled upon it the name of a web site fix-this-computer. He then went on to explain that I should visit this site and look under the Fix Windows Registry Errors section and from this I should select an option for a free registry scan which would identify and registry errors present on my computer and after this would give me the option to repair them. I took his advice and now my computer works a treat, cheers Bryan.
