Nokia Announcement: 2 New Cell Phones To Be Launched Soon

December 15th, 2009

Nokia is soon going to have two new phones in its portfolio. I was reading this blog and came across the announcement of the launch of new cell phones in India. Nokia, today, announced the launch of two new mobile phones – N97 Mini and N900 in India. Each of the cell phone has its own impressive features. However, N900 seems to be a little more exciting.

A brief review of N97 -

Nokia N97 is a pretty looking and nicely designed cell phone. But that’s it. On a lot of other things N97 doesn’t really score high. The keypad on the phone is not all that comfortable to use. The tiny keys can cause a lot of trouble.

So that was N97 for you. And interestingly, N97 would be advertised more widely than N900. The reason for this remains unknown to me.

And now a quick peek into Nokia’s N900 -

This Nokia cell phone scores more than N97. Especially on the usability front. Unlike N97, the keypad is convenient and easy to use.

One common thing the two phones, N97 and N900, have is the spacebar located on the right of the phones. When asked about this to the senior design manager, Mr. Jonne Harju, he told that the study indicates it is easier for one to use left thumb to press the spacebar key.

That makes it clear, N900 should be prefered over N97, but how good it will do in the market also depends on the pricing of it. The prices of both the cell phones have not been released. Also, Nokia promises to come out with many such interesting launches in 2010. And that all the releases are going to be different from each other. Hopefully it keeps up with its promise and we get to more many more nice, unique, with better functionality and, of course, cost-effective cell phones.

Nokia 6700 Classic

November 8th, 2009

Nokia phones have always been happily accepted by mobile phone users. In fact even I had chosen Nokia when I had first bought a cell phone. And since then I have been using only Nokia series. The good thing about Nokia is that it gives you a mixture of models varying from phones with very basic features that can be purchased by all to series of high priced, stacked with many features models. You can take your pick depending upon the purpose you want the phone for and, of course, the price.

Before buying a phone it is important and also wise to know the phone’s features and various applications it has. It’s only then you would get to know if the phone meets your requirements and is suitable for you. Buying the phone in haste or because someone else has bought would be like doing an unwise thing. This is one rule I always follow and advice others too. The best method to find out about a phone’s features is perhaps taking help of the internet. Google it!, is supposed to be the easiest route.

It was during these searches I was doing for Nokia phones, I hit upon a blog that said of Nokia 6000 series and had a detailed review of a particular Nokia model – 6700 Classic (If you are wondering why I chose to write about Nokia 6700, currently the most sought after phone by an average user comprising of all required and useful features). Writing below a few lines about the phone (Nokia 6700 Classic), the complete and detailed information could be grabbed at Review: Nokia 6700 Classic.
