Guide To Fixing Your Xbox 360 Failure

September 19th, 2009

We all have a common fear in our daily lives; the potential breakdown of assorted machines we use. We just don’t want it to be occuring to us, especially if that machine is our favourite Xbox 360. However, you don’t need to panic even in the misfortune of an Xbox 360 failure. If one knows the cause then half your issues are dealt with. An Xbox 360 failure is a typical misfortune faced by many gamers all around the globe.

The Xbox 360 failure is usually revealed by red LED lights on the console itself. So how do you establish what blunder you have in your machine by looking at the lights?  The answer follows;

If it’s 2 red LEDs turning up on your console, then the possible cause for this Xbox 360 failure could be overheating of the motherboard.  The best solution to overcome this Xbox 360 failure is by closing down your machine for a period of time so that the motherboard can cool off.

If there’s 1 or 3 red lights showing up on your console then there’s sometimes some known hardware and software failures which ought to be sorted by fixing the console.

The most severe Xbox 360 failure that you can find is indicated by a red ring of light on your Xbox 360. This failure is something that belongs in the ‘fatal error’ category.  This typically happens because of an inner structural failing in your Xbox. This basically means the makers didn’t put a cooling mechanism of adequate size inside the console.  So overheating tends to bring down the game processing device and can lead to an Xbox 360 failure.

No call to panic, however, because a few simple precautions can make sure that the Xbox 360 doesn’t falter.

Since the majority of the mess ups spring from overheating it’s ideal to place your console in a spot where there is unobstructed flow of air, and no more heat-emitting sources in the vicinity. It might be difficult for avid gamers, but a sensible thing to practice could be to allow your console regular rest spells and avoid protracted continuous gaming sessions. That way you can also rest eyes and fingers and commence with a fresh determination all over again.

However, if you have come across an Xbox 360 failure you need not ship it off to Microsoft in a rush.  You can buy some repairing guides from the web, which might save everyone a heap of time and money. Be certain not to overpay for these and also attempt to choose one that has been tried and tested by others.  If you can access a good guide then you can be your own Xbox mechanic! If all else fails though, remember it’s your right to have a working machine- you paid for it after all- so don’t hesitate to contact Microsoft if you are in doubt.

So next time you encounter an Xbox 360 failure, you know the solutions!

LIps V.S Singstar

August 29th, 2009

In case you don’t already know Lips is a computer game released for the Xbox 360 last November and is basically a singing game almost the same as Sony’s Singstar with a lot more features put into it. Of course to have this game you do not need to be able to sing at all although keeping in time to the song does help and the more you can sing, the better the scores you get from it.

This is where Lips stands out above the other singing games as it actually detects on how your singing is. If your bad then well it doesn’t matter as your still get the scores for keeping in with the song. Although if you are blasting out perfect scores on A-has Take on me you are almost certainly a-ha lf decent singer.

A great benefit to the game is the actual microphones themselves. Actually tap the microphone along with the song to gain an increase in your score as well as making it feel like a more realistic play through. As well as this the game isn’t limited to two players if you just have two microphones as the Xbox 360 controllers can actually be included in the game as by pressing the buttons you get extra sounds and rhythms put into each song.

Of course if you can really sing do not just stick to a computer game. It is well worth buying a real microphone from a manufacturer like Shure or Behringer as it will help practice your skills. Of course games can only go so far and it may be worth taking it up a notch.

So sing to your hearts content and crank up the volume and get singing with Lips on Xbox 360. With a new game to go hand in hand with the current game set to be released this fall now is a brilliant time to pick up the first game in preparation for the new one.

DJ Hero this fall

August 28th, 2009

With the success of Guitar Hero Activision have announced the new DJ Hero which is set to be released in October of this year. The real qustion to be asked here is that is going to be a huge hit or fall into the pit that Nintendo are digging for themselves.

There have already been confirmations on major artists being in the game like the Black Eyed Peas and Eric Prydz so it is hard to see that it won't at least attract the people into that kind of music. Of course buyers of the Guitar Hero World Tour are very unlikely to purchase this as it is the complete opposite music style. As well as this a recent poll has shown that the majority of people do not actually want or even care about this game and to be honest it is completely understandable as playing in a rock band is a much higher dream than being a DJ.

The major problem that Activision faces is the gamers themselves. They have fought very well in the games industry recently with blinding titles like Assassins Creed and Guitar Hero it would be a great shame to see their hard earned cash invested into something that simply is not going to sell. The fact is far less people are interested in being a DJ than rocking out on the drums or guitar so less people are going to buy the game.

Although on paper this does sound like a good diea is it really going to kick off in the same way that Guitar Hero did. Perhaps game developers should start making games for gamers again and not for the people that haven’t touched a game in their lives, a lot of people would rather buy the proper DJ equipment and DJ software than buy this game but until release date of October it is hard to say for sure how well this game will sell.

Of course if you are already a DJ headphones are very important and it is always good to have a pair that protects your ears when performing.

Bishock 2 Game – A Title to Look Out For!

August 22nd, 2009

It may be very often agreed by countless gamers and critics alike that Bioshock is an example of the greatest First Person Shooters produced in the past 10 years. It boasts an average critic score of 96% at Metacritic.com, and some communities even describe the game as a work of art. Bioshock’s storyline is in myriad ways based on and galvanized by the top selling novel “Atlas Shrugged”, and centres around the geopolitical situations occurring in an undersea forgotten metropolis named Rapture.

Following a deviation from the original game, the Bioshock 2 game will put you responsible for the slow and lumbering Big Daddy. As gamers of the original game will know, Rapture was produced with the plan of founding a culture freed from capitalistic central authority rules and religious moralities, but predictably enough, it all went exceptionally adrift As Bioshock hero Jack found changed and mutated and revolting creatures called Splicers were at large in the area, rambling and murdering at will. These creatures were essentially all that was remaining of the community.

Throughout the Bioshock 2 game, Big Daddy has the unenviable charge of returning to Rapture, investigating a sequence of abductions. It seems that the many Little Sisters that succeeded in making it to the surface in the first game are now being stolen away and taken back to the depths of Rapture, and it’s up to Big Daddy to crush the menace.

The Bioshock 2 game follows the basics and idiosyncrasies of the first, with some prominent twists on the content. Graphical augmentations are also present, with the game performing a lot {more smoothlysmoother}, permitting for a perfect demonstration of graphics. This contributes to the feel of a great game, and developers 2K have pulled it off with merit.

Naturally being in charge of a robot does allow various gaming advantages, he is in a position to mix a number of drills and guns in one hand, while using the arcane ‘plasmid’ with the other hand. Plasmid is employed to create electricity, fire and also to manipulate objects using telekinesis. The talents are improved throughout the game and levelled up as you progress forwards.

A great deal of skill and care has been in the Bioshock 2 game. There are some new areas in Rapture, it’s now possible to investigate the ocean bed and investigate the methods surrounding the dome of the metropolis. One niggle with the first was that the array of creatures was somehat limited and incessant, and this has been fixed in the sequel with a range of new original nasties. Look out for Big Sister, who hinders your mission and will try and you at various junctures. 2K Games are hoping for a distribution this Autumn, and for all devotees of the first, the Bioshock 2 game is being released on the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Microsoft Windows platforms and cannot come quick Bioshock fans.

Has Guitar Hero met its match

August 22nd, 2009

Many have dreamed of becoming rock stars when they grow up havent they? When the very first Guitar Hero game was released it enabled people to do just that. No more was it that you had to spend hours at a time trying to learn how to play the guitar when all you had to do is plug in a controller to the Xbox 360 and away you go! Although it may not be as satisfying as playing your favourite rock guitar solo on a real guitar, Guitar Hero fills the gap by enablng you to do this on a games console.

There are now many bands out there now who love the game such as ACDC and Metallica and have endorsed the name and even bought out games side by side Guitar Hero to enable their fans to play all of their favourite songs on the game itself.

Adding World Tour to the fanchise bought it more multiplayer via the drums and microphone as well as adding more songs to the setlist and enabling fans to form a band over Xbox Live.

However it is also true to say that many bands absolutely hate the product saying that fans should refuse to buy the product and take up a real instrument. There is of course no better alternative than actually playing a real instrument which is something that the game understands but what bands do not undertand is how much time and effort needs to be put in to actually learn an instrument.

The problem is for anbody wanting become a DJ it is very costly and time consuming which is where DJ Hero comes into it. Of course buying all your own DJ equipment and DJ software is expensive and not to mention hard work, could Activision have it right again with this or are they simply going too far?

Of course if you already are a DJ why not purchase some Behringer headphones to make those ears a it safer when you are playing a set.

My Preference of Strategy Games

August 9th, 2009

Strategy games have been among my treasured groups of gaming. To me, strategy gaming has always been the group that gave a better gaming experience. I think some folks feel strategy games are not good because they don’t have graphics as good as other type of classes. Another drawback I have heard individuals say is that you are not directly involved in the game as units in the game are playing on your behalf and you don’t necessarily have complete control over the units. One more issue I heard from folks is that strategy gaming is too time consuming or slow compared to a first person shooter game.

Strategy game’s similarity to board games is one of the reasons I admire this particular class. Since the game is seen from an observer perspective, you get to see the units and events unfold allowing you to plan accordingly. One of the reasons for the appeal of strategy games is that it is a lot alike to chess, where you have an outside perspecitve on how things are being carried out. Strategy games can be divided further into two different types – Turn Based Games and Strategy Games. In turn based games, each player takes a turn like chess, and plans out his possible moves. As a player completes his turn, the opponent in the game get his chance to react to the moves made by the other player and implement his own counter strategy. In this way, turn based games are very much like your regular old board games – everyone takes a turn to play his game. In real time games, players play simultaneously. Players react and make their own moves depending on how the opponents are planning their game. In comparison to turn based games, strategy games move a lot of faster making them more entertaining.

Among strategy games, Civilization 3, Rise of Nations, and Command & Conquer have been among my treasured strategy games. One of the earliest strategy games that I recall playing was Civilization 3.The game was turn based one, and I was totally hookedd on it. Besides Civilization 3, the other strategy games that I thoroughly enjoyed were Age of Empires II and Starcraft. I played Age of Empires quite extensively, and it was graphically superior in every way to Civilization 3. Now, there might be a possibility that a follow up to the game called Civilization 3 might be released soon. Since I have missed a lot of strategy games during the time I was in college, I can’t wait to see how the new Civ 5 game turns out.

Sega Games and Game Cheat Codes

July 31st, 2009

There is nothing in wrong in utilizing cheats to get ahead, if it is just you who is playing. I apply cheats to get ahead when I believe that the game is just too slow. If an AI is the only other player in the game, I have no worries in using cheats. To me, exercising game cheat codes when playing multiplayer games is “cheating” and is against the game spirit. To some, it might seem hypocritical that I oppose use of cheats in multiplayer games, but at the same time support cheats in individual player games. Seeing that a lot of people enjoy exercising cheats when playing by themselves, they think it is acceptable to use it while playing multiplayer games.

Sega used to be one of the biggest builders of gaming consoles, and in fact I had a sega saturn, and remember quite well coming back home and playing games on sega saturn. I wish the cartridges were brought back in some way, as they were the best thing I liked about those old consoles. Some of the consoles that Sega came out with were Mega Drive, Dreamcast, and Saturn. I myself owned a Sega Saturn, but Dreamcast was by the most successful console.

One of the interesting things is that I never used cheat codes while I was playing on Sega Gaming consoles, although one of the reasons could be that I never knew cheat codesexisted. There are so many game cheats outside, and sometimes published by game publishers themselves, you wonder if there are any games without any cheat codes. If you want to make your gaming experience more fun, I would suggest using Sega Dremcast cheats. Cheat Codes while playing single games can definitely make you feel better as sometimes you think the game play is more tedious, or you just feel like you need to get ahead and can’t be bothered by playing the whole. Game Cheats can help you to get to more “fun” parts when a game gets too challenging. When someone applies cheats in a game without a prior agreement, you feel like you wasted a whole lot of your time. Even though you might win the game, it definitely wrecks the gaming experience of everyone else through use of video game cheat codes.

Smoking Is Bad For Health, Gaming and Business…

July 13th, 2009

It has long been suspected that smoking and gum disease are interrelated. Thanks to recent studies, that link has been proven. We have all long known that smoking is dangerous to your health. It can cause heart disease, including heart attacks. It may lead to strokes and aneurysm. Naturally it could lead to lung and throat cancer, not to mention many others. Your breath smells, your teeth get stained, and respiratory problems and infections are practically a given. As it turns out, smoking can negatively affect your oral health as well.

Smoking is one of the main risk factors associated with gingivitis. This because smoking opens wide the doors for bacteria to flock into your mouth. Bacteria is what ultimately causes gum diseases like gingivitis and periodontitis. However, that is not the only reason smoking can lead to gum disease.

Both the smoke which comes from the tobacco and the nicotine in cigarettes can make your blood vessels constrict. That makes it harder and harder for nutrients and oxygen to get to parts of your body – including your gums and gum tissue.

Smoking is not the only thing which causes this to happen. Chewing tobacco can as well. Further, they can both make it more difficult for your body to adequately fight off infections. Meaning, it cannot fight off the infection which causes gingivitis. If you are a smoker, it may even be more difficult for your body to respond to the proper treatment methods for gm disease.

How could you, as a smoker, decrease your risk for gum disease? Well, naturally, you have got to stop smoking. Think of all the aspects of your health smoking will negatively affect? You also have to do your part by rigorously taking care of your teeth. Brushing, flossing, and regular checkups are importan.

Civilization 3 Strategy Game Information

July 6th, 2009

I believe, Civilization 3 was one of the best video games ever devised. Along with Civ 3, the pc games that I used to play commonly were Black and White, Age of Empires, and Command & Conquer In comparison to these pc games, the one item I didn’t like about Civilization 3 was that it was a turn-based game. Because of this, you cannot play a multiplayer game with other gamers. If you wanted real pleasure playing games, you want to play a multiplayer game.

Civilizations that I played most often in Civilization 3 were the Chinese, the Romans, and the Americans. The above 3 were favored civilizations, and I never played random, I always picked one of the 3 civilizations to play. Civilization 3 game itself is easy, and most people should pick up the game quite promptly. Because it is turn based, you can’t just keep playing, you have wait for other players to play their turn, and if there are a large number of players, it can take forever. If you have a slow computer, it can take forever for the game to load. The first part of the game is tedious, as you don’t have that much resources, and what little resources you have gets used up pretty quickly, but once you get to middle ages things get pretty fast, and it around this part that I enjoy the game most.

I could expand borders of my civilization by engaging in cultural wars, although peaceful would result in the expansion of my empire. For border areas, it is important that they are happy, and if they aren’t they might switch allegiance. Compared to Red Alert 2 or Age of Empires, Civilization 3 has no comparable battle scenes, but it is nonetheless fun to watch small tank battles. If there is one unit that is above all else, it is a tank.

Expansion packs like Play of the world and Conquests followed Civilization 3 at a later time. A later version of Civilization 3 called Civilization 4 was introduced and it had expansion packs of its own. Unfortunately, during this period was one of my busiest periods and I never got the chance to play the game. Now, I am hearing rumors of Civ 5.
