Access Internet Satellite – The Best Communication Technology

January 5th, 2010

There is adequate information on the internet on every industrial sector or profession, place, country, race and religion. Not only that, people use internet email marketing and documents in order to communicate with colleagues, clients or friends and relations.

Most businesses these days can not be operated without the use of the internet. For example, you can access your financial banking account to see whether you have been paid. Upon confirmation of this payment, you can pay your monthly rent by transferring money from your account into your estate agents account from your online account. Your agent in turn can confirm payment of your rent by checking their account via internet. As a result of this, there is a high demand to get access to these websites at any point in time and wherever they may be.

International transactions between people in different countries have led to this high demand for internet connectivity at all cost. Moreover, the development of the airline and maritime industries all over the world has promoted these access internet satellites. You will agree with me that when in a plane is in motion thousands of kilometers above the earth, it will need some form of communication. Similarly, big ships that transport several tons of crude oil and other important minerals also depend largely on access internet satellites. Satellites have been set up in space to ensure that this internet access is available to meet this huge demand.

Most companies offering internet services use the communication technology called two way channels. This means that there is the transfer of data from satellite to the user on earth and vice versa such as satellite tv on pc function. In this modern day technology, more than five thousand users can access the internet at the same time by using the multicasting technology. The advantage of this technology over the normal dial up system is that there is by far more bandwidth available to the user.

The user receives the signals from the satellite from a satellite dish. The signals from the satellite dish are transferred to the user’s computer or laptop through the cable modem. Usually, the weather can disturb the reception of signals from the satellite. Also, trees can interfere with the internet connectivity. For example, in a stormy weather, the connectivity of the internet will be greatly disturbed because the wind and the rain will affect the signals negatively.

Access internet satellite is preferred in the developed countries compared to the land line and gsm connectivity. In the developing countries, internet connectivity is based on gsm, cdma and landline dial up.

Tank Ploughs On (2)

December 19th, 2009

So continuing with the tanks throughout history really I will start with WW2

WW2

Again WW2 wasn’t a time in which tanks made the most of cable ties and multicore cables but it has to be the time where tanks were used to win battles rather than just as an extra. If the tank had not been in WW2 then the war would have been completly different and Hitler may not have been able to take control of Poland to kick it all off. During this time the tank really came into play and it was turned from a heap of metal to the best used weapons system in the war.

Heinz Guderian who was a tactical theoretician actually stated before WW2 that “where tanks are, the front is” and this of course became reality during the course of WW2.

Hitler actually used tanks as the main part of his hole Blitzkrief idea. He made use of the combined arms of both tanks and infantry as well as in tank radios to gain advantages of forces that actually had better tanks than he did. Hitler of course used this to gain control of Poland as well as France. It was Hitler that helped when it came to the allies looking to get more technology on the tanks. A major nation defeated in weeks shocked the world and this was the nudge that the Allies needed to start building better tanks.

There were many, many tanks during the course of the war but the most famous of them had to be the Tiger, Panther, Sherman, M4 and SMK.

The worst part is that the tanks were responsible for many deaths during the war. The number of people that died in the war was 56,125,262 but the number of people that died because of tanks was a lot too.

Of course tanks played a very important part in the Cold War arms race as well as playing important roles in the wars that rage on today. Some tanks even have their very own ac fans.

Fiber Optic Communications – Info For Our Connection

November 28th, 2009

While these days we try to sort out the communication, like getting a spam blocker, and improving performance e.g. with docking stations for devices and laptops, we might overlook the speed of communication or data exchange… Compared to many other ways of communication used today, optic fiber communication is somewhat new. This particular mode of communication is highly sophisticated and involves the use of advanced technology. Though the concept itself is a very complex one, putting it lightly, fiber optic communication involves transmitting ‘pulses of light’ from one location to another through the use of ‘optical fibers’.

In the improvement of the use of fiber optic communication people like Harold Hopkins, Van Heel and John McChensy have contributed immensely . Even though with many advantages of using fiber optics over conventional copper wires, the high installation costs keeps it at the bay from mass usage.

Fiber optic communications is used in many forms of needs today. Networking, communication related to the medical sector, telecommunication and even data communication are few such cases. However with the cost factor taken into consideration fiber optic communication is probably best used in cases of long distant applications.

Much credit is given to fiber optic communication as the catalyst which brought about the dawn of the all-important ‘information age’ .There is a huge importance and value in putting forward this step to bring out fiber optic communication.

In the process of fiber optic communication these fiber optic cables play a huge role. It is hard to look at a flimsy transparent cable and believe the tasks it is capable of. These cables are used in innumerable ways in various sectors from operation theatres to enhance the décor in houses. The contribution of these products is invaluable in this modern hi-tech world.

Commercially probably fiber optic communication has some way to go to make an impact globally not confined to the boundaries of affluent, developed countries. However if those firms who involved in the production of this product are capable of promoting and spreading fiber optic communication all over the world, communication around the globe could be made more speedier, more reliable and more efficient. With ups and downs the story of this engineering marvel has not yet finished. However considering how things have gone so far, it would not be a bad guess to suspect that networking in future will merely be done by fiber optics only.

Is Fax Dead?

August 13th, 2009

When was the last time you sent a fax?If you’re a lawyer, work in a bank or personal finance or a GP’s surgery or pharmacy, then the answer is very frequently! When was the last time you transmitted a facsimile transmission. For most of us, Email has killed off fax.

Lawyers and solicitors will, at a pinch, accept a fax document as an original provided it’s plain paper (not thermal and therefore not capable of fading over a period of time) and has been validated by another solicitor or lawyer usually. There are various document management software packages out there, but it’s the issue of traceability and ease with which an electronic document could be altered or modified that remains problematic, despite the many features now built into that same software that will assure veracity and give a clear “audit trail”.Fax remains the default communications medium for several business users.

So if you are stuck with fax for certain users, there are still steps you take to integrate with your electrical components IT infrastructure. These services will facilitate the easy use of both communications technologies and avoid additional costs through purchase of dedicated fax equipment and enhance operation and security.

A Fax to Email service allows you to receive faxes directly to your email address as attachments. It’s a straightforward and highly secure way to receive, store and forward facsimile documents.By routing to email, there’s no danger of unauthorised eyes seeing confidential or sensitive information. The “virtual” fax machine is never engaged and you’ll always be notified of incoming messages.Filing and retrieval becomes much more straightforward.

Add the cost and speed advantages of VoIP telephones lines that handle data, voice and fax transmissions and considerable cost savings can result. Fax to Email services can be fully integrated with all the vendor’s phone services, so you can receive multiple faxes simultaneously and never have to worry about toner or paper. You won’t need to scan them in for storage and because the files are stored in a convenient TIFF format they can be printed out easily. Voice and fax calls can be treated differently so the same telephone number can be used for both.A single telephone number means that callers talk directly to people and faxex are diverted to a mailbox and stored.

Setting up a Fax to Email service is remarkably simple and can cost from as little as 40 pence per day to operate. Indeed, depending upon the number chosen to run your service, there may even be revenue paid to you.Set up and administraion services including alerts are usually free of charge from most IP telephony vendors. If you need communications, electrical and cable ties products visit Aerco

Traders Using Twitter To Stay Ahead of The Game

July 16th, 2009

Any investment banker or financial adviser in the city will vouch for the importance of good communication methods in succeeding in trading. It is vital for them to have open channels of communication with others and be connected to the latest business information. This information tends to come from a great deal of sources, including mediums such as press releases, business statements, cable news channels and many more. There is however an ever-increasing demand for information to be supplied and received faster and more readily. The phenomenon that is Twitter is now being adopted by city traders according to National Austalia Bank (NAB), as a means of staying connected to those in the know.

Twitter has been termed a ‘micro-blogging’ entity, where people are limited to posts of 160 characters. This is something that traders really like about the site as it forces posts to be concise and avoid waffle. Users within a certain niche, such as the alpha wire sector, can follow other Twitter members who they want to receive updates from, and can themselves be followed. The financial sector operates in a global market these days and people need to be able to stay in touch with lots of different people who are in different countries and different time zones. This is made possible via Twitter, which allows various information and media outlets to communicate and feed off each other, often supplying information as it develops and without bias.

Because there is a function that allows users to send and receive private messages via Twitter, some parties believe that it could possible used for insider trading. Although supporters such as this multicore cables business are quick to point out that this was always possible via email and the real power comes from the ability to alert hundreds of thousands of people publically, which of course can be monitored for underhanded dealings if necessary
