January 5th, 2010

Think of the best enterprise phone, and the first name that crosses your mind is the BlackBerry. BlackBerry has been topping the Smartphones market, and till date there has been no other cell phone that could equal the popularity of the BlackBerry phones. Not even Apple iPhone. Sure iPhones are very popular and you can see a good number of people flaunting the iPhone, but again it rarely meets the qualities of an enterprise phone.  But, this news totally had me excited – A phone that could be a BlackBerry Killer!

The author of a blog post speculates that there are 7 reasons why the Nokia E72 could outscore the BlackBerry phones. Lets take a quick read at all those super 4 reasons that I understood:

e-mail Feature :

Quick e-mails is one very important reasons why BlackBerry sells. But Nokia E72 is all set to give the e-mail feature of the BlackBerry a good fight Nokia E72 Could Be A BlackBerry Phone.

Great Battery Life :

The Nokia E72 has impressive battery life. Even after a lot of use, E72 requires charging it only two times a week, which is definitley an important feature.

Impressive Keyboard and Better Navi Key:

The keys on keypad are much easier to use.  And the menu scrolling space is restricted a smaller D pad area making it easier to use it. Both these qualities are something the BlackBerry Phones lack.

The MultiMedia Advanatge:

Nokia E72 has a 5.0 mega pixel camera, which ofcourse is something to go for. Yes, the sound quality may not be as good as the BlackBerry but who would buy an enterprise phone for sound quality reasons?

iPhone VS BlackBerry

March 23rd, 2009

It used to be that only business professionals had the need of a handheld device, for those times when they were away from the office or in a meeting. However, times have changed and life has become busier for everyone. The stay at home parent finds that they cannot keep up with their children’s schedules and appointments. Even those without children find that there are appointments that they must keep up with. Enter into the world of the PDA and Smartphone to help manage tasks and appointments.

Here you can read some real user reviews about the Sony Xperia X1 Smartphone, Xperia X1 Reviews

Are you sick and tired of lugging around an appointment book, a cell phone and a laptop just to stay connected with work and friends? Are you tired of forgetting important appointments and not being able to communicate on the fly? Then perhaps there is an answer to your communication and scheduling dilemma. You may need to look into purchasing a Smartphone to help you manage your busy schedule.

The invention of the Smartphone is nothing new. It has been around for quite some time in the form of PalmOs and Blackberry. However, more companies are joining in on the race to create a versatile phone that can run all of the applications that are needed by the user. You can thank Apple’s iPhone for prodding more companies into creating Smartphones.

The PalmOs and the Blackberry was perhaps two of the most commonly used Smartphones in the business, but thanks to some prodding by Apple’s iPhone, the other companies are jumping in to produce a Smartphone. They want to keep their customers and be able to offer them the latest technology in competition with the Blackberry and the iPhone. Do you still have questions about whether a Smartphone is right for your personal and business needs?

So why use a Smartphone? Well for starters, they are incredibly versatile. Most phones prior to 2008 were running on Windows Mobile 5, but with the debut of Windows Mobile 6, more applications have opened up for use and there is more processor speed behind these small cell phones. The iPAQ Pocket PC is a prime example of faster running speed, but lacks the communication power of the iPhone. The iPhone has definitely set the standard for cell phones!

If you find yourself in the market for a Smartphone, then you absolutely cannot go wrong with the iPhone; however, keep in mind the other major players in the industry. You may not pay as much as you would for the iPhone, but you still get the same capabilities. The iPhone still has a hefty price tag of $399 and new Smartphones can be purchased for less with a new contract from a cellular provider.

The iPhone is a great phone to own, but it does have its drawbacks, namely a hefty $399 price tag. With a new Smartphone, you may be able to get a substantial discount by opening up a new contract with a cellular provider. The best thing you can do is to shop around to find the best deals that have the capabilities that you need and want, all wrapped up into one very useful package.
