Stories Plus a Mini Projector Result to a Good and Informative Entertainment

January 5th, 2010

I started teaching voluntarily for a non-profit organization so I could also help young children throughout the US on how to read and write. I’ve started doing this job when I was 19 year old. Since I started college, I’ve been active in doing social works. Compassion and patience crossed my mind to share information and this make up a good teacher. Aside from being a preschool teacher in one of the known kindergarten schools here in California, I also managed to work in this non-profit organization.

Because of my passtion to teach, I was persuaded to help children learn especially those people who are not able to go to school. It’s not an easy job but it’s worth it. Teaching children how to read and write isn’t really a hard job but it requires commitment.

Sharing stories to children is what I always like to do. I’ve done various strategies and techniques to catch the attention of children. All the little boys and girls are having fun listening and reading stories. Pictures are always present to make the story alive. I’ve been using printed pictures since I started this job. However, as time passed by, I noticed that showing pictures on papers are becoming common to children. I needed to present a better idea.

Teachers in our kindergarten school use LCD to show pictures to our class. I used this same idea when I teach for the organization. I had a laptop to use anyway. But there’s one problem though. The screen of my laptop wasn’t enough for the 30 children to see. A bigger screen was what I needed to have. This gave me the idea to use a projector.

I searched for a small projector that I can easily carry. I found the PJM-1000 Mini Pocket Projector that has great features. Then, I began using slideshows and videos of the characters of the strories I like to share to the children. I couldn’t wait to see the children once more.

During the Christmas program last year, I was glad I was able to do my special teaching assignment with the help of the projector. More than 30 children were gathered that day. I was glad that I had the projector to use which enables the children to read and listen to stories with big smiles on their faces. They enjoyed the stories a lot. The moving pictures were a good motivator to them.

This wasn’t the last time I used the projector. The mini pocket projector became my audio-visual aid that I can use anywhere I go. I’ve realized that teaching becomes effective when I use both visual and audio aids. The mini projector helped me do that. Anything extra special to present to children would surely lead them to listen attentively. That’s exactly what the projector does. I had been teaching anywhere with the projector since it can be plugged and projected anywhere as long as there’s a dark room available for me to play the stories.

The PJM-1000 Mini Pocket Projector isn’t only a tool to use for entertainment but also for presentation. I’ve proven that myself and would be always relying on using the projector.
