Has Air Conditioning done much for the world?
Let’s face it air con uses a lot of electricity across the world every single day. America is easily the country that use it the most, they would be lost without it..
The reason for this is that we use it wherever we go including the office, car and even at home. Of course for someone living here in England it isn’t very important as we need the complete opposite to keep us warm. Air con is being used more and more and can even be purchased in a portable form of air purifiers to keep the heat under control wherever you are.. Perhaps the only time I can think that someone in England may use one of these is in the car..
The USA needs them more because of the climate. I have been to America several times and each and every time I would certainly have not been in a very good mood if there had been no air conditioning for me. As soon as you step outside the heat hits you and you immediately want to get back to a place with air conditioning. Is it all just for the visitors who do the American people actually need it??
Well many are and just get on with it, but for many people in offices air con has been proven very useful. Although a very nice and popular invention, it would work a lot better if it used a bit less energy.. Some of the best other inventions out there include Portable air conditioners and also keep in mind the electric patio heater.
So when you next get home and feel a bit stuffy think do you really need the air con on?. It could well be one of those annoying habits people have.. Leaving it off could mean a lot of money saved in your electricity bill as well as making you feel a bit better about yourself.
